This is my first Four Tet song. Despite his much heralded influence on Radiohead, I've never given Kieran Hebden's work a listen. The ambient and dubstep genres are ones which I tend to admire from afar while never feeling the need to really take the plunge. 'Unspoken' is undeniably beautiful though, a shimmering nine minutes which takes me to a whole different headspace. The previously released version of this track was included on the 2003 album Rounds, sans the sample of Tori Amos' 'Winter' which couldn't be cleared by the record company.
